PLAINFIELD, IND. – MD Logistics, a provider of contract warehousing, inventory management, fulfillment, distribution, heavy-weight expedited transportation, and LTL and full-truckload services, has been named 13th Fastest-Growing private company in the Central Indiana market by the Indianapolis Business Journal, based on percentage growth in revenue over a three-year period. Mark Sell and David Kiebach, co-founders/principals of MDL, were presented at a reception hosted by the business journal in Indianapolis. The company has grown by leveraging strong customer relationships and expanding services to meet the ever-growing need for outsourcing.
“Once MD has developed a service to meet one customer’s requirement, it markets to other like-minded clients with similar needs,” explained Kiebach.
“The outlook for third-party logistics and value-added services is excellent,” commented Sell. “As companies continue to reinvent their supply chains, they increasingly look to others to take over certain non-core functions of their business.”
“Due to its central location, excellent infrastructure and cost of living, Indianapolis allows MD to compete with an ever-growing list of companies,” stated Kiebach.
The IBJ compiles its annual list of fastest-growing private companies by soliciting submissions from companies reputed to be experiencing fast growth. From the submissions information, the IBJ ranks the companies based on their revenue growth over a three-year period.
A company was eligible if its revenue increased each fiscal year, if revenue exceeded $1 million in fiscal year 2003, if it is an independent, privately held corporation founded prior to January 1, 2003, and it is based in the Indianapolis area.
