The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced today that the agency’s 2015 construction season resulted in an investment of more than $1 billion in State and Local road, bridge, trail, and traffic safety projects. The mix of federal and state transportation funding along with funds from Governor Mike Pence’s Major Moves 2020 program allowed INDOT to invest aggressively in major projects to improve traffic flow and reduce travel time, and increase preservation work to enhance the condition of existing pavement and bridges.
