MD Logistics Celebrates 20 Years in Business and 20 Years of Growth

20-years ago today Mark Sell and his late business partner Dave Kiebach started third party logistics company MD Logistics, headquartered in Plainfield, Indiana.

In 1996, the pair began the company named after their first initials inside a 10,000 square foot warehouse. Since then, MD Logistics has grown through the addition of business verticals, service offerings and excellent client relationships to occupy one million square feet of warehouse space across three locations in Plainfield and one in Reno, Nevada. MD Logistics has increased its employee base from its original seven employees to now over 200 employees. Indiana Department of Transportation 2015 Investment Exceeded $1 Billion

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced today that the agency’s 2015 construction season resulted in an investment of more than $1 billion in State and Local road, bridge, trail, and traffic safety projects. The mix of federal and state transportation funding along with funds from Governor Mike Pence’s Major Moves 2020 program allowed INDOT to invest aggressively in major projects to improve traffic flow and reduce travel time, and increase preservation work to enhance the condition of existing pavement and bridges. In addition to INDOT’s construction program, the State allocated more than $220 million to cities, towns, and counties across the Hoosier state to support local transportation projects.
